The Fishing Event is a limited-time mechanic introduced to Steal a Brainrot, occurring every hour and transforming the lobby into an underwater zone. Players can cast their fishing rod anywhere on ground level to catch Aquatic Brainrots, which appear at their base after reeling and can be purchased by others. Fishing is possible in your own base or the Collect Zone.
Event Schedule
- Frequency: Every hour (fixed timing; check the Event Board at the center of the map or the fishing rod icon in the bottom-right corner for the next event).
- Duration: The map floods with water during the event.
Fisherman NPC & Fishing Rods
During the event, the Fisherman NPC spawns near the Gear Shop (or Robux Shop in some reports). Interact with him to purchase upgraded rods, which increase Cast Luck (better odds for rare Brainrots). All players start with the Starter Rod. Upgraded rods auto-equip from your inventory/hotbar during events. Rebirth requirements apply.
| Rod Name | Price | Cast Luck | Rebirths Required |
|---|---|---|---|
| Starter Rod | Free | 1.5x | 0 |
| Frozen Rod | $2.5M | 2x | 5 |
| Fiery Rod | $5M | 3x | 10 |
| Radioactive Rod | $10M | 4x | 15 |

How to Fish (Minigame)
- Equip your rod from the hotbar during the event.
- Cast: Hold left mouse button (LMB) or tap to fill the cast meter—release at/near maximum for best luck (releasing early reduces chances).
- Wait for a Brainrot to lure (bite).
- Reel: Rapidly click (M1 or tap) to fill the progress bar before it depletes. Success sends the Brainrot to your base; failure lets it escape.
Special Features
Radioactive Fishing
- During the Radioactive Event variant, water turns neon green.
- Chance to fish Radioactive Brainrots (with Radioactive Mutation applied).
Note: Chef Crabracadabra is fishable but excluded from the Aquatic Index for unknown reasons.
Aquatic Brainrots
All 25 Aquatic Brainrots are fishable during the event. Better rods improve odds for higher rarities (e.g., Secret, Brainrot God). Track progress in the Aquatic Index (new section).
